Just fighting off the start of a little winter cold, it hasn’t settled in fully yet and I don’t plan on letting yet. Lots of vitamin C, rooibos tea, echinacea/goldseal, and rest (although the last one is hard).

I just got back from Calgary. I was there representing Norco at a bike expo that Bow Cycle hosted. It’s the first time I have flown without checking in luggage; usually I’m dragging a huge bike box and gear bag around; in fact with online check in, I could just walk right into the airport and straight to security. Love it. Such a short flight, 70 minutes compared to 12 hours of driving.

If you’re in Calgary, be sure to track down Bow Cycle, it’s a beautiful shop with some great personalities working there. I had a tour of the shop (it’s huge), and when you see cubicles (like four or five) as well as office spaces upstairs, you know the shop is big time.

Last friday I went out as a subject for a class of photographers that renowned mountain bike photographer Ian Hylands was teaching. It was a cold, wet, Vancouver day–come to think of it, that’s probably why I’m sick! I have been working with photographers for a long time now, so I promised to come up with list of things I like and dislike about them. For instance, when I’m out with a photographer and they ask me to do a scary or difficult line 7 times over because they didn’t quite get the shot, urggh.

Hope all is well with you and your world, Happy Monday!
