General Info
Riding mountain bikes, playing yoga, eating fresh, and sleeping well is in my opinion, a magic recipe. Mixing in the these offerings in an intimate setting in the woods, on a bluff overlooking the Yukon River and the quant city of Whitehorse is memory creation at its finest. With a limited number of guest spots available, 6, there will be plenty of time over the 5 day retreat to customize and maximize your vacation wishes.
Mountain Biking
Singletrack! We won’t waste your energy on long boring access or gravel roads. It’s straight to the goods. Whether you feel like climbing or shuttling, smooth or technical, epic or ecstatic, we’ll take you there. I’ll be on all the rides, along with one of Boreale Mountain Bikings fully certified guides. While we’re on the trail, we’ll have time to stop and talk technique, or just flow until we’re high on endorphins. Skill progression sessions will build and progress all week as needed or requested.

Yoga
I was certified as a yoga instructor for the sole reason of sharing this cyclist saving activity with my cycling family. I’ll be leading at least one class per day, and mix it in with detailed asana technique. With a focus on safety and alignment, we will aim to keep the practice fun, flowy, playful, and light. Yes, I’ll want to challenge you with some balance postures, and get you sweating from time to time, because it’s not just those tight muscles that need to be lengthened, it’s the supporting muscles that need to be strengthened, and that new found range of motion from yoga needs to be used with control and awareness.

To Conclude
On a personal note, this retreat is something I’m passionate about, it is part of the evolution of my career from being simply a stuntman in mountain bike films and trials demos, to a friend who loves to share and pass along all the techniques and mental approaches garnered through 13 years as a pro. It is a delight to mix these cycling skills in with my love of yoga, again sharing the postures that I have found to be useful as a cyclists through my 8 year asana practice, and speak to how the presence and awareness generated through this practice can transcend the mat and be included in your riding enjoyment, and integrated in to the general flow of your daily routine.
